# Pay-to-See

The League of Traders platform features a dynamic leaderboard that ranks traders based on their performance metrics. Naturally, this fosters a strong interest among users to observe the strategies and portfolio compositions of top-ranked traders.

The Pay-to-See feature enables users to unlock access to another user's portfolio by paying a one-time fee in LOT tokens. This model promotes greater transparency and incentivizes information sharing in a decentralized manner, allowing skilled traders to be fairly rewarded for showcasing their strategies.

Unlike traditional platform-based access control, Pay-to-See on League of Traders is executed through a smart contract deployed on the blockchain.

When a user initiates a Pay-to-See action, a transaction is sent to the smart contract, which records the payment and permission grant on-chain. Once confirmed, the user is authorized to access the target portfolio.

This mechanism ensures transparent and immutable access rights without relying solely on centralized database systems, aligning with the platform's goal of decentralization and verifiability.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.leagueoftraders.io/solution/pay-to-see.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
